The county has made applications to use the "dam" in place at Thistle as. a flood control device, if it is determined to be stable. He has also been active in the project to dredge the Jordan River, which is now on hold until Salt Lake County officials can finish the engineering for the dredging project. He said he hoped the dredging could be completed started by next spring.
