' COMPLEX -Maintenance worker at American Fork Hospital aids in construction of new education complex in basement of hospital. Hospital builds new complex An education complex is being constructed at the American Fork Hospital to better facilitate on-going training at the medical facility. Constructed next to the dietary area in the basement of the hospital, the area will include a medical library, staff lounge, doctor's lounge, rest rooms and three separate meeting rooms. The meeting rooms will open to a 150 seating capacity room which community clubs may use, said Creta Blackburn, hospital administrative ad-ministrative assistant. Willard Nelson is architect for the project, with Leonard Penock in charge of construction. Hospital maintenance personnel are doing the work. Cost of the addition is $129,147. Mrs. Blackburn said target date for the completion of the addition is June 1984. She said donations for the new medical library are being sought. Medical staff members are being asked to contribute journals which the hospital will bind for use by other physicians. Medical books, nursing and in-service books are also being requested. |
