Show Commencement program ol 1904, ior 8th grade graduation, not high school The article included in the "Jasant Grove Review last week about the 1904 commencement Pfogram was for eighth grade Evaluation and not high school Sjaduation, according to Eleroy R. West whose sister, Genevieve, was one of the graduates. peasant Grove did not have a 0lgh school in those days, he said. A youngster of age nine himself at me time, Eleroy remembers the ?aduation ceremony. It was held in American Fork, he added. The students were taken to American Fork in buggys. An accident occurred on what is now west Center Street and one girl was injured, a concussion. She didn t remember the ride to American Fork at all, he said. Eleroy noted that his sister, Genevieve, is still alive and neanng 96 years of age. She is bcheyed to be the only one of that 1904 eighth grade graduating class still alive. |
