Students Chosen To Attend i Utah Business Week Lori Bone, daughter ! of Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Bone, of Pleasant Grove, and Marilyn Harper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Harper, of Pleasant Grove, were chosen too attend the ; Utah Business Week held at Utah State University in Logan. Both students j received scholarships in order to attend the j conference. At the week-Ions; conference, the students attended many seminars. lectures. classes, and meetings on the topics of free enterprise and business in America. Speakers included company presidents from throughout the state of Utah. The students also formed simulated companies, where actual decision-making and company procedures were instigated in-stigated and developed. Students from throughout the slate of Utah attended the business conference, which was sponsored by the many Chambers of Commerce throughout Utah. The Business Week was very worthwhile wor-thwhile and beneficial. The students were introduced in-troduced to the many facets of business, and the students had on-hand on-hand experience wTith business. Businessmen urged that the wide gap between bet-ween the classroom and the business world be narrowed; and our students have come back with ideas to implement plans to carry out this need. |
