Kitchen. His hobbies include, reading, watching T.V., food and playing twenty two. He enjoys basketball, tennis, soccer and water skiing. Chris has earned his Eagle scout, he was Sophomore President, and this year he serves on the Seminary Council. Geret N. Giles is the son of Nocan and Beverly Giles. He is a Junior at PGHS. Geret enjoys all sports and enjoys being involved in school activities. He is a member of the high school Seminary Council and is Vice President of the band. His hobbies include skiing, soccer, motorcycle riding, reading and playing the trombone. He is an Eagle Scout and has worked as a lifeguard at Maple Dell. He enjoys school and is proud to be a Viking! Matt Norman is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tad Norman of Lindon. He is a Sophomore at PGHS. He enjoys football, basketball, and baseball. He is President of his Teachers Quorum in his ward. Craig Mills is the son of Gary and Sharon Mills. His hobbies in-clude football, soccer, skiing and swimming. He was the Ninth Grade President. Craig is a Sophomore this year. Stephen Washburn is a Sophomore this year. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lark Washburn of Lindon. His hobbies include soccer and football. He is first counselor in his Teacher Quorum. The FHA officers in charge of the Sweater Swing are: Stacie Searle, Dance Chair-man, Sue Ann Loader Assembly Chairman, Susan Carter FHA President, Lori Voorhees Senior President, Karen Harmer Junior President, Jennifer Carter Sophomore President, and Mrs. Goodrich advisor. Pleasant Grove High School's Future Homemakers of America are proud to present the annual Sweater Swing November 25 from 8:30 to 11 p.m. The theme this year is "Old Songs". The music will be by Odessa. The 1981 Sweater Swing King Candidates are: Mike Bronson the son of Val and Laurel Bronson. Mike is a member of the National Honor Society. He likes to play hacky sack, he also enjoys all sports especially baseball. Mike is also a member of the ACapella Choir and he is the President of the Seminary Council. Bryon T. Biggs is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Niel Biggs. He is a Senior at Pleasant Grove High. He enjoys all sports and is involved in football and track." His hobbies include "water' skiing, hunting, and he also plays the trumpet in the high school band. He has earned his Eagle and is also president of the band. He proud to be a Viking! Steve Warner is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Warner. He is presently first councilor of the Priest Quorum, he has served in many other callings. His hobbies consist of many athletic sports events and other activities. He enjoys working with people and hopes to serve a mission and continue life from there. MicKay L. Robinson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roland C. Robinson. He is a Junior at Pleasant Grove High School. He enjoys sports and is a member of the football team. MicKay especially enjoys snow skiing, but also water skies. His hobbies in-clude fishing, hunting and he has had a class in taxidermy and trophy mounting. He and his father share the love of horses and riding in the near by hills. Carter To Serve Mission ,' ' '.'"i, ' f J Elder Brian R. Carter, son of Don and Mary Northrup, American Fork and Ronald Carter, Springville, has been called to serve an LDS mission in the Colombia Bogota, South American Mission area. A farewell meeting in his honor will be held on Sunday, November 22, in the Am. Fork 21st Ward Chapel, 825 E. 500 N., Am. Fork at 12:15 p.m.. He is a graduate of American Fork High School and completed one year at Dixie College in St. George. He has served in the presidencies of all quorums, was vice-preside-of his Seminary class and graduated from Seminary, four-yea- r program. He has also attained his Eagle Scout award. Relatives and friends are invited to an open house on Monday, Dec. 1, from 6:30 until 8 p.m. at 160 No. 800 E., Am. Fork. BRIAN CARTER Outstanding Business Student Chosen I 1 I - j BARBARA BAWD EN Barbara Bawden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bawden, of Pleasant Grove, has been chosen the ' "Outstanding Business Student for the Month of November." Barbara will be presented with a certificate for this honor; and she will also be; eligible for the "Outstanding Business Student of the Year" Award. Barbara is an active student at Pleasant Grove High School. She is especially active in the business area. Barbara is enrolled in Office Procedures and Accounting. She has taken such classes as Type I and Advanced Type. Barbara is also an active member of the Future Business Leaders of America. Barbara has excelled in her business classes. Her typwriting and accounting skills are exceptionally high. Barbara has also been involved in other ac-tivities. Last year, she was a member of the Future Homemakers of America, and was their attendant. She was also a Homecoming Queen Candidate last year. Barbara is also an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Da- y Saints having held many leadership positions. Barbara has worked in the business field. She has been a clerk at Edgemont Pharmacy, an insurance clerk, and a druggist. She is currently employed in the business field. Barbara plans to further her education in the business field. She currently plans to at-tend Dixie College afler he graduation from high school. Congratulations, Bar-bara, for a job well done. |
