Show Park Needs Donated Metal The Pleasant . Grove Parks department and the Kiwanis Club are striving to improve the eating area in the Kiwanis Park. They plan to construct a large canopy over the main eating area which will make it much nicer for family reunions and other gatherings. Park use is increasing in-creasing rapidly and this improvement im-provement is sorely needed, according ac-cording to the club. Geneva Steel has offered to furnish structural steel, pound for pound for scrap metal brought to them. What we need now is scrap metal. Kiwanis thanks those who have turned in or reported scrap metal to donate to this cause. They ask that citizens look around yards or anywhere scrap metal might be available and report to Bill Hogland or Robert Hicks. It will make our Kiwanis public park a "much better place to serve the public, according ac-cording to project workers. Use of the park for groups can be obtained by reservations with the city recreation department. |
