Ladybirds is a program exclusively for women, who want to spend a day together, skiing for pleasure, while at the same lime improving their respective skills. A special lunch is included, for the women participants and their Ladybird guide. The Snowbird Ski School has a Welcoming Party every Monday for ski school participants, with ski films, refreshments, and music, all compliments com-pliments of Snowbird. This is a great opportunity to meet other guests as well as the ski school staff. The Snowbird Ski School has forty full-time and thirty part-time certified cer-tified instructors teaching the American Teaching Method (ATM) style of lessons for skiers of all ability levels. Special emphasis is placed in the following areas; children's lessons, first time skier's lessons, racing classes, advanced classes, powder techniques and skill development. Snowbird's instructors are trained by Ski School Director, Junior Bounous, a long time noted and respected individual from this area ," -and his assistant, Jerry Warren, a former member of ' the U.S'. Demonstration Team of the Professional Ski Instructors of America. Combined, the two individuals in-dividuals along with their instructors make up one of the most reputable ski schools in the United States. In addition to regularly scheduled ski school classes, Snowbird's Mountain Experience is a unique learning program for advanced skiers whose goal is lo ski as much of the mountain as possible as well as to experience the challenging terrain, powder, and off-trail skiing, through the assistance and guidance of a specially trained and certified instructor. in-structor. When the snow is deep and fluffy, (a feature for which Snowbird is so popular), the ski school is prepared lo give Powder Instruction to both beginner and advanced skiers. Group classes and private lessons for alL skill levels and ages are available daily at 10:45 and 1:45 p.m., meeting at the base of Chickadee slope. Little Snowbirds is a program offered of-fered by the Snowbird Ski School, for children ages 4 and 5 years old.
