Show The Review - Monday, November 23, 1981 - Page 5 Kory Collett Attendant To Miss Utah Tech Kry Collett graduate of Pleasant Grove High School, was named first attendant to Miss Utah Technical College, in ceremonies held Wednesday, November 12. Named as the new Miss Utah Technical College was Cathy Clark of Provo. Second at-tendant is Debbie Horton, Portland Oregon. Miss Collett is the daughter of Rosemary and James Porter of Newport Beach, Calif., and has a twin sister. She and her sister have performed in a group called "Inspiration" throughout Utah. In 1977, she was named Miss Teen Queen for Utah, and went to the national competition held in Las Vegas. KOI5Y( OI.I.KTT For her talent in the competition,.. Miss Collelf sang a" vocal solo, "Out Here On My Own," from the musical "Fame." The same rules were followed for Ihe pageant as prevail at the Miss Utah Pageant. The six week session emphasized learning skills in language development, main, physical activity, creative art, role playing and music. Also a $10 savings account from the Bank of American Fork; a $20 savings account from Banks of Deseret Bancorporation; a wash and set for Mom from Erma's Beauty Salon; and a dental exam for one parent from Dr. Dale M. Greenwood. The first girl was born November 14 to Reg and Roxanne McDaniel, 692 North Main Orem. The little miss was born at 11:23 p.m. and weighed in a 9 lbs 6 oz. The first girl born at the hospital will also receive a gift from Wolfe's Sporting Goods; a gift from the Pink Shoppe; dinner for parents at the Golden Coral; savings accounts from Bank of American Fork and Banks of Deseret and a dental exam for one parent from Dr. Dale M.
