It has forced consumers to Ijjiccome more aware !i)d less wasteful. Most of us have clothes that we never wear. To avoid costly impulsive shopping that we can't afford anymore, ask Yourself these questions before you buy : ! l. Does the item I Jvant to buy satisfy a heed or just a want? ; 2. Is the color right for jne? Hold the item up next to your face and see what that particular color does to your skin (One. 3. Does the item go with what I already own? Will the style and color tie in with my present wardrobe. 4. Does it flatter my figure? Does it em-phasize my best figure qualities or hide my figure flaws? 5. Is it the "look" I want? What is its personality expression? Examples: natural, classic, romantic, dramatic, delicate. Consider your lifestyle and age when asking this question. 6. How often and where will I wear it? How much use will I get out of if? 7. Is it a fadd or a fashion? To answer this question ask if it can be worn by most figure types and ages. If it can, you are usually safe. 8. Is it the proper fit? Don't buy it just because the salesperson says it looks good on you. Develop sales resistance or lake an honest friend along with you when you shop. 9. Is the item within my price range? Could I find a better price at another store? If it costs more than you feel you want to pay, but is good quality and satisfies a need well, see if you can make it do double duly. It's good to shop around and walch for sales, but don't make the mistake of buying something just because it is on sale. Save your sales receipt for at least a week just in case you find something better. It is better to be safe than sorry. If the item you bought doesn't match like you thought it would with your present wardrobe, don't be embarrased to ex-change it or get a refund. Be creative with your present wardrobe and try new things. You may be surprised at the new looks you can get by rearranging or adding a new accessory. Ac-cessories are usually cheaper than clothing items, yet can be the things that make or break an outfit.
