Show Air Force Announces I Pay Increase for Recruits T Single young men and women who enlist in the Air Force will now earn I more than $800 per month in pay and ; allowances as a result of the recent military pay J raise approved by Congress. . According to Technical Sergeant I Ernest Cumming, Air Force recruiter, in I Provo, "Most single I airmen receive quarters - and meals in lieu of cash. Their monthly I taxable pay is $551.40." I A married enlistee I will earn $891.90 ; monthly, while a I married college graduate, newly - commissioned as a second lieutenant, will begin earning $1,430 per month in pay and allowances. T The Air Force also offers programs where ! eligible young men and I women can enter the Air I Force in the rank of Airman (E-2 pay grade) t and Airman First Class I (E-3) and receive a : beginning monthly pay of $878 and $918 respectively, said Sergeant Cumming. One of these programs is the "Stripes for College Experience" program, where 17 to 27-year 27-year olds with 45 semester or 67 quarter hours of college credit may apply for enlistment enlist-ment in the rank of AlC, the sergeant added. Also included in the pay raise, according to Sergeant Cumming, is an increase in the monthly enlisted aircrew air-crew flight pay to $83 per month. Pilots, navigators, and other officer flight crew personnel will still receive $125 per month flight pay.
