Show Legal Notices AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT GROVE. Background. 1. On the 11th day of Sept-. Sept-. ember, 1974, Stan Boyer the owner of real estate as shown by the last assessment rolls, situated in the tract herein described, des-cribed, requested that said tract of land be taken within the limits of Pleasant Grove City. The petitioners caused an accurate plot or map to be made and certified to by a competent surveyor to be filed with the City Recorder together with said petition. 3. Said tract of land is contiguous con-tiguous to Pleasant Grove City and there is no proper reason why it should not be annexed and make a part of said city. The City Council at a regular reg-ular meeting held on September 17, 1974, after examining said petition of said owners and considering the circumstances thereof voted by vote of more than two-thirds of all members of the City Council in favor of annexing said tract of land to Pleasant Grove City and directed direc-ted that an ordinance should be passed annexing said property prop-erty and the extension of the city limits of Pleasant Grove City accordingly. NOW, THEREFOR BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council Coun-cil of Pleasant Grove City, Utah. Section 1. That the city limits lim-its of Pleasant Grove be and the same are hereby extended and enlarged so as to include the following described tract of land in Utah County, to-wit: Commencing West 472.80 feet, and South 660 feet, from the Northeast corner of Section 20; T 5 S, R 2 E, S. L.B.M. thence N 89 deg. 37 min.W, 151.0 feet, along North fence line, 1100 North Street, thence N 0 deg. 50 min W. 288.5 feet, thence S 89 deg 37 min E, 151.0 feet, thence S 0 deg 50 min East, 288.5 feet to beginning. Note Basis of bearing, Utah State Coordinate System. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED ORDAIN-ED AND DECLARED that when this ordinance takes effect, ef-fect, the said tract of land described des-cribed 'shall thenceforth be within the corporate limits of Pleasant Grove City and all ordinances, jurisdiction, rules, and obligations to or pertaining pertain-ing to said Pleasant Grove City are extended over and made applicable and pertinent to the said track of land. Section 2. Upon passage of this ordinance, the City Recorder Record-er of Pleasant Grove shall file and he is hereby directed to file a copy of the map or plot above-mentioned, duly certified, certi-fied, together with a certified copy of this ordinance. Additionally, Addit-ionally, the City Recorder is hereby directed to file with the State Tax Commision within 10 days of the passage of this ordinance notice of the annexation annexa-tion accomplished by this ordinance. ord-inance. Such notice shall include in-clude the foregoing description of the area affected and shall contain a certification by the secretary that all necessary legal requirements relating to such annexation have been fully completed. In the opinion of the City Council it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the peace, health and safety of Pleasant Grove City that this ordinance take effect upon its first publication.
