Show March of Dimes Funds Young volnnteers from the March of Dimes have teamed up with patients from the Utah State Hospital to plan a fund-raising fund-raising Halloween extravaganza extravagan-za at the old "Castle" behind the hospital. This is the first time the March of Dimes Teen Action Program (TAPS) has participated partici-pated directly with the hospital hospi-tal in an activity of this kind. The castle project is under the dirction of Mrs. Brnt Rey nolds director of Public and Patient Services at the Hospital Hospi-tal and Mrs. Melba Carter, director di-rector of the Utah Chapter of the March of Dimes. The youths plan to open "Count Dracula's Castle" Oct. 21 and will feature food, games, gam-es, dancing, and other daily activities up until Halloween. The funds raised by the activity ac-tivity will be used in the fight against birth defects and other oth-er equally important community commun-ity activities. "Whatever success these young adults have, it should prove to be great therapy for all involved," remarked Mrs. Carter. |
