Show Police Arrest Three on Check, Of her Charges Oct. 1, at 9:45 p.m. Officer Bert Bean of the Pleasant Grove Police Dept. received a call from the Utah Highway Patrol to be on the lookout for a light blue car with three suspects who had just passed a stolen check at Mr. G's and Maverick station in Lehi. Officer Bean stopped a vehicle ve-hicle matching the description at the Cozy Corner parking lot. A search of the vehicle and the suspects brought out what appeared ap-peared to be stolen checks and a large amount of amphetamines ampheta-mines and a small amount of marijuana. Officers Alex Hunt and Don Aucoin were also involved in the search and the three were placed under arrest by Officer Hunt. Gene Charles Suitor and Harold Brent Brittain, and a juvenile were arrested. The two adults were taken to the Utah County Jail and the juvenile ju-venile was taken to the Youth Home after booking. Later investigation showed several checks were passed in Salt Lake County. The three then traded cars in Tooele to avoid attention, and moved to Utah County. Charges were: Brittain, charged char-ged with contributing to delinquency delin-quency of a minor and possession possess-ion of a controlled substance. He has plead guilty to both charges and a stay of execution execu-tion was ordered pending a presentence pre-sentence investigation. Suitor: charged with passing a forged document and possession posses-sion of a controlled substance for sale. The pre-hearing for him is set for Oct. 30. The juvenile was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled con-trolled substance for sale, and passing a forged document. Sentence is still pending. Charges are pending from Salt Lake County on both the adults for pasing forged doc-ment. doc-ment. Another juvenile was also al-so involved in this case and charges are pending from Juvenile Juv-enile Court for forgery. Another case in the county was also cleared through this case, involving stolen copper wire. On Oct. 11 Alex Hunt and Bert Bean recovered a stereo ster-eo taken from the Oak Crest Inn in Spanish Fork Canyon. The Sheriff's Department was notified as to the recovery. |
