Show Undercover Drug Investigation Nabs Alleged Cocaine Dealers in Park City were released from the Summit County jail Wednesday Wednes-day under a pre-trial arrangement ar-rangement and Ashe was let go after posting a reduced $2,000 bail. All three are expected to be arraigned this week. Park City Police Chief Frank Bell said the undercover under-cover work was done by agents with the Metropolitan Narcotics Strike Force, a cooperative drug enforcep-ment enforcep-ment agency supported by several Utah government entities. Bell added "Metro Force" agents requested assistance from PCPD officers during a phone ca irlv March 14. Glasser tnd Cricks were arrested at the Holiday Village parking lot after they allegedly sold an ounce of cocaine to "Metro" agents shortly after noon Monday. Ashe was placed in custody cus-tody soon after when four officers armed with a search warrant descended on his Monarch Dr. residence. According to Bell, a search of the premises turned up several ounces of cocaine each with a street value of around $2,300. Bell said there was additional evidence evid-ence that an undisclosed amount of the drug had been flushed down the toilet prior to the search. Additionally, Bell said they found a curious list of names, addresses and telephone tele-phone numbers that is currently being scrutinized by the department. A state and local undercover under-cover drug investigation culminated in Park City Monday afternoon, March 14, resulting in the arrest of three persons for alleged cocaine possession and sales. . Salt Lake residents Molly Glasser and Ken Cricks and Greg Ashe of Park City were each charged with one count distribution of a controlled substance (cocaine) for value -and one count of conspiring to do so. Additionally Ashe, was charged with posession of a - controlled substance -with intent to distribute for value. The distribution and possession pos-session charges each carry a maximum prison sentence of 15 years and or a fine up to $15,000. The conspiracy charge is punishable by a maximum 10 year sentence and or a fine up to $10,000. Judge James Kilby set bail for the trio at $5,000 each Monday. Glasser and Cricks |
