Show County Officials Set Road Priorities Summit County Commissioners Commis-sioners spent most of March -15 touring the road systems throughout the county in an attempt to establish priorities prior-ities for a long term capital improvement program. Commissioner Cliff Blonquist Blon-quist said the county has never had a systematic capital improvement program pro-gram and adds he and other commissioners feel it is important now to implement such a program. ' 4 If we develop a long term (five-year) plan for road improvements in the county, I think we can save on equipment and labor costs over the long run," Blonquist Blon-quist said. "Hopefully we can get away from patching the same roads year after year by redoing them on a systematic basis." Blonquist said road improvement im-provement priorities in the west end of summit county include Old Ranch Road in Snyderville and the frontage roads extending west and east from Kimball Junction. "Those roads are in pretty bad shape and need attention atten-tion immediately," he said. Blonquist says the commissioners com-missioners are exploring methods of funding the roadwork and will soon announce road improvement projects' for thissummer. 7 ..'1 A jl 'i If. 4ll ..,... A. li J'.
