Show Night Music P. C. offers tunes for all ages The first annual Deer Valley Chamber Music Festival will conclude con-clude with a concert tailored for children this Saturday. Slightly older kids probably will enjoy the Ratt concert at ParkWest Monday. And for the rest of Park City's grown-ups, there is a' generous sampling of music from jazz to blues at local clubs and restaurants. Alamo The Tempo Timers, known for revitalizing rhythm and blues in Utah, will play at the Alamo Draft House on Main Street Friday and Saturday beginning at 9 p.m. Baja Cantina On Thursday nights, Park City's local musicians gather to improvise and harmonize at the Baja Cantina at The Resort Center. Newcomers are welcome to join in. The music starts at 9 p.m. Chamber music festival The Deer Valley Chamber Music Festival will end this week with a children's concert Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Kimball Art Center. A musical introduction to chamber music will be performed by the Festival Players. The Theater School for Youth also will present a play called "The Ant and the Grasshopper." (See separate story.) For more information, call 649-8882. Down Under Folk singer Kat James entertains at the Down Under Club at the Claimjumper Hotel Wednesday through Saturday evenings. Grub Steak Guitarist Bob Snow will play several sets of mellow dinner music at the Grub Steak Restaurant in Prospector Square Friday and Saturday from 7 toll p.m. Legacy Social Club The rock-and-roll band T.E.D. will play at the Legacy Social Club (formerly the Cowboy Bar) on upper Main Street, Friday through Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. ParkWest Resort The rock-and-roll band Ratt will be in concert at ParkWest Monday at 6:30 p.m. For ticket information, call 649-5400. The Resort Center The Salt Lake Chamber Ensemble, which specializes in baroque and contemporary music, will perform under the tent at The Resort Center Sunday at 7 and 8:30 p.m. The Wednesday night jazz series at the tent will continue this week with the Larry Jackstein Trio at 7 and 8:30 p.m. Stein Eriksen Lodge Germer's Riverboat Ramblers will bring their blend of Dixieland music to the Flagstaff Deck at Stein Eriksen Lodge Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. |
