"Mess otherwise noted, events listed below will take placo h Salt Lake DANCE- The Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company will present "The Dancer as Choreographer" at the Capitol Theatre (50 West Second South) on Friday, May 31, at 8 p.m. MOVIES "Psycho," the classic film of crime and guilt, climaxes the Salt Lake City Library's Hitchcock , series on Friday, May 31. The film, with the most famous shower scene ever, stars Anthony Perkins, Janet Leign, Vera Miles and John Gavin. It plays at 2 p.m. for 25 cents and 7 p.m. for 50 cents. The library is at 209 East 500 South. The Utah Media Center presents two acclaimed foi eign directors. In "L'Argent," French director Robert Bresson shows a petty crime passing counterfeit money that sets a ruinous chain of events in motion and leads a young man to murder. The film plays on May 31 at 9 : 30 p. m. , June 1 a 1 7 : 30 p. m. and June 2 at 5 and 9 : 30 p. m . The films are presented in the auditorium of the Salt Lake Art Center at 20 South West Temple. MUSIC Handel's sacred oratorio "Israel in Egypt" will be presented in a free concert on Friday, May 31, at Assembly Hall Temple Square at 7:30 p.m. The program is presented by the Utah State University Chorale, USU Chamber Orchestra and Nnrlhprn Utah fhnrnl Snriplv The Zephyr Club, at 301 South West Temple, presents Rare Earth on May 30, and the Spencer Davis Group on May 31 and June 1. The Triad Center presents the first of its "Twilight Concert Series," as Arlo Guthrie and guest star David Bromberg appear June 2 at 5 p.m. at the Triad theater. Tickets, available at Datatix outlets, are $12 in advance and $14 the day of the show. The Triad also begins a series of noontime concerts during the week, with the fusion group the Trenches on June 3, Dave Compton on June 4 and Lori Lynner on June 5. The Disgusting Brothers and the Gamma Rays rock out at the Fairgrounds Horticulture Building on May 31 from 7:30 p.m. to midnight. "Robin Hood" plays at Plum Alley in the Promised Valley Playhouse (132 South State) through June 8 at 5 p.m. (Wednesday-Thursday) (Wednesday-Thursday) and 7:30 p.m. (Friday-Saturday). Saturday matinees are at 2 p.m. The hills are alive with "The Sound of Music," starring Zelie Daniels and Robert Peterson at Pioneer Memorial Theatre at the U. of Utah. It plays nightly, except Sundays, through June 8 at 8 p.m. A June 1 matinee is at 2 p.m. "I Remember Mama" plays at the Little Bowery of Promised Valley Playhouse (132 South State) Wednesday-Saturday through June 1 at 7: 30 p.m. A June 1 matinee is at 2 p.m. Sam Shepard's "Fool For Love" is presented by the Salt Lake Acting Company, Thursday-Saturday through June 1 at 8 p.m. It's presented at 168 West 500 North. ETCETERA -The Kimball Art Center at the bottom of Main Street in Park City presents the Utah Watercolor Society group show, an annual juried display, plus the metaphysical paintings of Robert Setrakian. The opening reception is June 2 from 3 to 5 p.m. The exhibit runs until July 4. Sesame Street Live appears at the Salt Palace Center from May 30 to June 3. Reserved seats at $8 to $6 available at the Salt Palace and Datatix outlets. "Journey with Digistar" at the Hansen Planetarium, 15 South State, plays Monday through Saturday at 4:30 and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 and 4 p.m. "The Clio Awards" follow the 7 p.m. star shows and afternoon shows on the weekend.
