Show IPdDlln Mepwit Thieves clean up at Saint Mary's A case involving the theft of a washer and dryer from St. Mary's Church was partially solved this week by Park City Police officers who discovered a suspect who claims to have been taken for a ride. Entered in the Park City Police Department blotter on May 23 is a report from Father Pat Carley, who called police concerning the theft of a washer and dryer from the St. Mary's Church parking lot. Father Pat told police that a man in a white pickup truck had taken the items. Police found the truck in the Alpha Beta parking lot along with the washer and dryer. The driver of the truck said a man on Main Street, whom he had never seen before, sold the appliances to him for the sum of $10. Father Pat did not wish to press charges, according to the report. On May 29 Jayme Saxton reported to the Park City Police Department that her wallet had been stolen while she was at The Club. The wallet is described as navy blue with velcro fasteners and a playboy insignia. It contained her driver's license but no money. Deer Valley Road resident Andrea Nass reported a theft from her automobile May 27. According to the report, an Escort radar detector was stolen from her car during the previous night. In addition, about 10 gallons of gasoline had been siphoned from her tank. Losses total $255. Also on May 27, Chris Henderson called police to report the theft of his 1983 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer. According Accord-ing to the blotter, two acquaintances borrowed the vehicle and then refused to return it until a debt was paid. The vehicle has now been returned, the report states. Cathie Correy called police on May 26 to report the theft of a window from her automobile. The report states that sometime during the previous night, the passenger side window was taken out of her 1982 Subaru while the car was parked in the Iron Horse Condominium parking park-ing lot. No value was placed on the missing window. On May 24, Park City Police officers stopped a speeding pickup truck driven by a juvenile who had a keg of beer in the back, according to the report. The 17-year-old Park City male was cited for speeding and driving on a suspended license. He was referred to juvenile court on the alcohol offense. On May 23, Ten Toelcke reported the theft of a blue Bridgestone 21 -inch mountain bike from Park City High School. The bike is valued at $380. In addition this week, the Park City Police Department made three DUI arrests and one arrest for public intoxication. |
