Show Hatchery Tour Slated The annual Fish Hatchery tour sponsored by the Salt Lake County Fish and Game Association will be held Sunday May 17, 1981. The tour will meet at the Midway Fish hatchery at 10 a.m. where the Division of Wildlife personnel will conduct tours of the Hatchery until 11:30 a.m. after which the tour will leave for the North Egg taking cabin at Strawberry Reservoir. At the caoin trie tour will see officials taking eggs from the spawning fish. A free barbequed. Elk sandwich will be given to those attending the tour and a prize drawing will be held. Bryce Opens All Roads A record number of visitors came to Bryce Canyon National Park during April. According to park Superintendent Bob Benton a total of 27,900 visitors were counted in April a 27 percent increase compared with the same month last year. Benton noted that so far this year visitation is up 32 percent and that projected travel trends should result in a record number of visitors this summer. All park roads are open and camping is available in the North Campground. The Bryce Canvon will open May 15. Horseback trips into the' canyon are scheduled daily. A wide range of motel accommodations and restaurant services are available near the park. |
