Show Track Team Returns From First Meet The young PCHS track team made its first trek to the 1A rcgionals but came away empty handed last week. "We took 10 kids and entered seven events and two of them made it to the finals." said track coach Bob Burns. "The top three schools. North Summit. Duschcne and Dugway had between 30 and 40 kids apiece. "This is our first year here and I know we w ill get better next year." Burns added. The two Miners who made it to the finals are Shawn Packard in the Long jump event and Darren Lawless in the discus throw. North Summit won the meet with Duschenc and Dugway placing second and third respectively. The slate meet w ill be held May 16 at Cedar City. |
