Show Arts Brie fs Air Band Contest KPCW in conjunction with the Black Pearl, kicks off the season in grand style. Win $100.00 acting out your favorite song using your choice of costumes and props for instruments. The first KPCW "Air Band Contest" begins Wednesday night, Nov. 24, at the Black Pearl. There will be a one dollar cover charge which goes directly to KPCW and the winning performance receives $100.00. There will be a contest every Wednesday night, so get your air band together, help out your radio station and have a ball. Bring your music in on cassette, eight track or L.P. Please cue tapes in advance. Also bring a short written introduction of your band and the material you'll be performing for announcing purposes. Orchestra rehearsals will begin after Thanksgiving. Current needs are for trumpet, trombone, violin, bass, clarinet, bass sax, oboe, soprano sax, piccolo, flute, and percussion players. The Egyptian Theatre is offering a week of orientation nights free to employees of Park City businesses to introduce them the programs offered at the theatre this winter. Refreshments will be served and your employees will then be treated to an entertaining one hour show including scenes from the upcoming musical The Music Man. Pick your night now and inform your employees about this special entertaining welcome to Park City's only performing arts center. Dates available are Nov. 30, Dec. 1,2,3, and 4, in the afternoon. KWHO Concert Salt Lake Radio Station KWHO will present world-reknown flutist Jean-Pierre Rampal in concert at Symphony Hall March 2, 1983 at 8 p.m. It has been said that Mr. Rampal has no superior and probably no peers. He has the uncanny ability to sound as if he has just discovered the music he is playing, the Radio Station reports. . . "The Flute King", one of the most enthusiastic musicians alive today, will be accompanied by John Steele Ritter at the March 2 concert.
