Show Silver King Bank Opens Main Street Branch Office What would an old silver mining town be without a bank on Main Street? It would be Park City - up until Tuesday, Nov. 23, when the Silver King Bank opened a new office at 614 Main. Bank President Dick Wilde says the new branch is the result of a change in banking rules that previously allowed branch banks to only be established in class-one ci ties, such as Salt Lake. "We opened to serve the public better," Wilde said. The new Silver King office will have nearly all the services of the home branch on Park Ave., but no loan officer or safe deposit boxes. The 900 square-foot office features four teller stations and offers an option to city residents that can save a lot of time. The new opening is also helping the Park City Library Libra-ry which is receiving a book from the bank for every new Silver King account opened with a minimum deposit of $250. Books will be donated in the depositor's name. Wilde says the book promotion promo-tion is going well. He also invites city residents to stop by the bank and say hello. |
