Show Old Town Gallery to Show Art FromPacific to Atlantic sculptors. Other local artists whose oils and watercolors will be represented are Merril Ham ilton, Stephen Hedgepeth, Randall Lake, Carolyn Russell, Rus-sell, Allan Nielsen, and Emerson Smith. Old Town Gallery will feature works of artists from Utah and from the Pacific to the Atlantic for the Art Festival. Included in the exhibition will be works by noted western artists, such as Walter Graham of Wenat-chee, Wenat-chee, Washington, Olaf Wieghorst, Dean of American Ameri-can Western Painters of California, and Penni Anne Cross of the Crowe Reservation Reservat-ion in Montana. Other famous artists include Peter Max, of New York who has become the unofficial poster laureate of the United States. On the past Fourth of July, Max completed his personal seven year tribute to the Bicentennial by painting seven statues of liberty (one for each year of the revolution) which are similar to the six he completed at the White House in 1981. A number of other artists whose works are represented in collections, nationally, will be shown including Philip Barlow of Salt Lake City and Loren Kovich of Helena, both Watercolorists: Virginia Cartwright, noted Ceramist of Pasadena; James McBeth of Ogden, L'Deane True-blood True-blood of St. George, and Frank Nackos of Hurricane. |
