Show i Citizen Irate Regarding Water Bill Dear Editor: Needless to say, I am still in shock over the last water bill we received a few days ago. I Hopefully, there has been a severe mistake. I will withhold with-hold payment of this bill until some clarification can be made. Under no circumstances circumstan-ces can this be legally correct. know we are living in inflationary times, but it is difficult for me to understand that a water bill can increase from $7.50 to $144.30, with both this and last month showing no consumption. I own the home at Bonanza Court 2; this is a second home. We did not visit that home more than once or twice last month. We installed install-ed an automatic sprinkling system last year so that we could be proud of owning that home and keeping the lawns green in the neighborhood. neighbor-hood. It sounds as if the writer may have a leak in his water system which the city is offering financial incentives incen-tives to repair. |
