The awards ceremonies in the past have been held at night, and high school Principal Princi-pal Jack Dozier said the format was hanged to the afternoon in order to focus more on the studentbody and also because of a lack of funds to host the evening banquet. Drill team members and cheerleaders will be honored as well during Friday's ceremony cere-mony which is open to the public. Because this is the first year " the boys basketball team has ever won a state championship, champion-ship, tomorrow's awards ceremony cere-mony takes on even more special significance. "It's been a great year." said Dr. Dozier. |
