Show State Nursery. -Taking. Seedling Orders : Could a windbreak help with your energy bill? Interested in establishing a visual screen to shield your home from the summer sun's, hot glare? Have a hillside with an erosion problem? The State Seedling Nursery Nur-sery is now taking orders for tree and shrub seedlings. The seedlings can be obtained obtain-ed at a low cost ($16 100) and are sold on a first come, first serve basis. Seedlings are delivered in spring, generally around the 15th of April. The seedlings are sold only in units of 50 plants per species. Minimum order is 100 plants. Trees can be used to construct ' windbreaks, control con-trol erosiorj, provide wildlife : habitat, or be grown for sale as Christmas Trees- They cannot be used for ornamental, ornament-al, or landscape purposes or resold as living trees. No orders for Russian olive will be filled for the Uintah Basin due to its classification as a noxious weed. Free technical assistance is available from the Area Forester in the planning of windbreaks, Christmas tree plantations, or shelterbelts. Seedling order forms are available at all County Extension Offices or from the Area Forester's Office in Vernal.
