Show Marsac By Pat Whitfield With the school year half over, Marsac fourth graders x have recently changed read-. ' ing arid math teachers and are now settling in for the remainder of the year. Mr. Jensen's science class is deeply involved with electricity and magnetism. As our life style moves farther away from farm life, the children were especially fascinated, by the "cow magnet" used to retrieve wire and other foreign matter from the cow's stomach. Students were particularly par-ticularly impressed by the outstanding experiment ' demonstrated by fellow' student stud-ent Brett Hanscom. There's more than children child-ren growing in Miss Erick-sen's Erick-sen's class. Her students are cultivating mold and raising a bumper crop of future penicillin. , Mrs. Whitfield's class is making its annual winter vicarious vacation trip to Hawaii in social studies. Children are learning about y Hawaiian culture through dance, music, reading, films and brochures. Soon they will celebrate a luau with Ms. Salomon's first grade to share their knowledge and experience in the tropics. |
