Show and to help the Park City businessman, was delivered by none other than the Mayor and City Council when they absolutely refused to listen to the Foundation on an issue of vital importance to both the Foundation and the Main Street merchants. For this reason, I do not blame any Foundation member wishing to tender his resignation. Once again I would like to thank the Park City Arts Foundation for doing a wonderful won-derful but somewhat thankless thank-less job. Thank you, Randy Thomson Miner's Delight Final Blow Park Record Park City, Utah 84060 Dear Editor: On the 17th and 18th of this month I, along with many other Main Street merchants enjoyed a great deal of prosperity. pros-perity. This was due, of course, to the 5th Annual Park City Arts Festival. What many of us do not realize is that this is only j made possible bv a few hard working dedicated individuals individu-als known as the Park City Arts Foundation. These individuals in-dividuals put in literally thousands of hours of their own time to try and make one weekend of the year a big success. I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank the Park City Arts Foundation for a GREAT job, WELL DONE!! Unfortunately, there is a rumor in town that Park City has seen its last Art Festival. If the rumor becomes be-comes reality I am sure that there are those who will breathe a sigh of reliefjbut I personally will shed a small tear. The reason theArtsFoun-dation theArtsFoun-dation is ready to call it quits is obvious. I can best describe it as lack of cooperation. coop-eration. Criticism on all levels, from all directions, from the time the juror had made his decisions to during and after the Festival compels com-pels me to ask, "Where were these critics when the Foundation Foun-dation needed help and was setting policy?" The final blow to this volunteer vol-unteer group, dedicated to the betterment of Park City |
