Show I lite Ha? li'twiGl matter requires Council or Commission action. Many items do not require this type of action and can be handled by the previously discussed actions. The City Council will be gin holdingaSPECIAL meeting meet-ing once a month that will be completely open and interested in-terested citizens can be heard without being on an agenda. This will give everyone a chance to question or request Council action. The first one is tentatively set for 4:00 p.m. .September 12, 1974, at City Hall in the City Manager's office. The most important issue that has been brought to the attention of the City by the survey by N.T.D.S is that people do not know where to go for help. Emergencies should be handled by the proper agency: agen-cy: Example - In case of serious injury, call the am- i bulance. ' In case of routine City i matters notify the City Man- ' ager or the City Recorder: j Example - Garbage not being picked-up call the City Manager. In case of urgent City business call City Hall (during (dur-ing regular hours), the mayor, or the proper Coun- cilman after hours: Example I - No water at your home, call the City Manager. (If I after hours, call Richard Martinez or John Price at I home.) If you have called C ity Hall I concerning issues of regular City business but satisfac- 1 tion has not been received then call the Mayor or the proper Councilman: Example Exam-ple - You want a Building Permit but cannot get on the agenda (you feel you are being stalled), call Jan Wilking Wil-king or John Price. To bring a matter of personal per-sonal importance to City attention at-tention call the City Recorder Recor-der or City Manager for information. You can call the responsible Councilman or Mayor if you do not feel satisfied by answers from City Administrators: Example Ex-ample - You would like a street fixed, call the City Manager. (If you do not get satisfaction, then call the Mayor) Many people feel that the City Council meetings or Planning Commission meetings meet-ings are closed to them. This simply is not true. There is, however, a particular par-ticular procedure to go through. . You must ask to be on the agenda. Either the City Manager or a City Official can get you on the agenda if your |
