Show STOCKS ARE STRONG WITH A GOOD DEMAND New York, Nov. 5 Prices of stocks today showed very small changes from last night's closing and the dealings deal-ings were light. Gains were the most numerous and Important, but there was a sprinkling of declines Great ' Northern preferred and United Statc3 I Steel rose large fractions and National Na-tional Railway of Mexico second ji referred re-ferred declined -S. The tone cf the market grew stronger. The inquiry was in the well known stocks, such as St. Paul, Union Pacific, Reading and Uulted States Steel, which responded with gains of 1 to 1 1-2. Federal Mining preferred also gained 2 and Na-I Na-I tional Harvester 1. St. Paul, Mlnne-aiolis Mlnne-aiolis and Saull Ste. Marie gained 1. and Federal Mining 112 The market closed easy and dull. Union Pacific rose early 2, Delaware & Hudson 1 1-4. and Southern Pacific. Atehls"n, United States Realty, the Republic Steel stocks and Distilleries' Securities 1. As the day's session and week drew to a close prollt-tak-Ing sales made their effect felt. The reaction ran to a point in Union Pacific, Pa-cific, out was checked by supporting orders. |
