Show TO INVESTIGATE THE SALMON CITY RATES Salmon City. Idaho. N'ev. S. Tho Salmon City Commercial club at their meeting last week took up the matter mat-ter of freight rates charged by the Gilmoro & Pittsburg railroad. R. E. Wlckham stated that the rate charged on ore shipments was handicapping local mining operations. It was pointed point-ed out by several members of the club that many of the railroad rates were In urgent need of adjustment. The matter wn referred to the trans, in.rtation committee of the club fi-r action. A resolution In regard to a straight railroad commission for the state of Idaho was postponed until after election, as the matter is a political poli-tical Issue. The injuries sustained are a broken leg dislocated shoulder and Internal hurts. Douthltt was running a 8urver line on the property and stepped backward into the open shaft. He lay at the bottom for five hours before be-fore he could be removed. He was taken to Leadore and sent to the hls-piul hls-piul at Pocatello.
