Show EASTERN VISITORS TO THE MORGAN DISTRICT Morgan, Nov. 8. The business fraternity fra-ternity of Morgan City have thrown their doors open to four prominent eastern guests, who aro looking over the several groups of mining claims, descriptions f which have been published pub-lished recently. Under the guidance of William H nice, one of Morgan's leading merchants, and George G. Stenhoii.se, president of the Morgan Crescent mine, with jour correspondent correspon-dent as a guest, the visitors commenced com-menced their Investigation Friday by first being driven over the city, then through the agricultural settlements of Rlchvllle, Portervlllo and Milton, and thence to the recent strike In the Mergan-Crescent group. The party consists of Charles E Bergener. an engineer of Chicago, at the present time connected with the Contractor, an engineering publication He is here for the purpose of making a report re-port on the Morgan-Crescent property prop-erty in the Interest of Chicago capital. capi-tal. For three years he has been conuected with copper mines In Arizona Ari-zona and Old Mexico as engineer for eastern capital, and in the same capacity ca-pacity is serving the lead and zinc Interests In-terests of Missouri. James P. Caul-Held, Caul-Held, connected with McKoy & Poa-gne Poa-gne of Chicago In real estate and Insurance, In-surance, James W. Emerson of Castle Cas-tle Creek, Mich., proprietor of the Emerson Transportation company and a stockholder in the Morgan-Crescent, Morgan-Crescent, and Wendell A. Slayton, also of Chicago, connected with the Slayton Lyceum bureau. Mr. Slay-ton Slay-ton Is vice president of the Morgan Cres i-nt company, and is also interested inter-ested In mining In Leadvlllo, Coo., Globe. Arizona, Mineral, Wash, and In the Iwstom smelter at Benson, Arizona. These gentlemen will consume con-sume another week before their investigation in-vestigation has been completed, after which It Is their intention to visit Salt Iake City and Park City before returning lo their eastern homes.
