Dec. 6 The secret service proper nnJ the secret police agents of the customs service are to be reorganized under the supervision of Chief Wilkle. The two services will retain their separate existence, but Mr. Wllkie has been lnblructed to trin the customs agents up to the standard of efllciency tho seciet service ser-vice . 'believe! to have attained under his direction. This plnn will involve soveral changes in personnel. John K. Wllkie. chief of the secret service, v.ill become supervisor and chief ot Iht- special agents' service, exclusive of the officers in the employ of the internal in-ternal revenue. He- will also retain his position as chief of the secret service. ser-vice. George W. Marr, present chief of the special agents' service, will take the position of assistant chief. This change is at his own request. I?slle M. Cullom, now special agent in charge of the Baltimore customs dis-tilct, dis-tilct, will take charge of Uie office of the special agents' service in Washington. |
