Jesse Knight, who bought the plant last June, would make no statement regarding re-garding the decision of tho board of ' directors other than to say that he i hoped tho mills would be in opcr- Ietion again within a month. John C Cutler and C. W. Nibley of Salt Lake and E. P. Ellison of Lay ton were present at the meeting. Just why this action is taken Is not made public, but It Is the general belief be-lief that there existed a certain degree de-gree ef dissatisfaction between the management and the board of directors. direc-tors. James Dow, the manager, who was brought to Utah from the east to take charge of the mills, resigned today. The Knight mills were formerly known as the Proo Woolen mills. The plant was opened by Knight on July 15. For some time, it Is understood, under-stood, the plant bis not been paying. pay-ing.
