Holt-slaw Holt-slaw of Iuka to the Sangamon county grand jury that he was promised and later received $2300 from State Senator Sena-tor John Broderlck, pernor rat, of Chicago, for Ills vote for William Ixirl-iner Ixirl-iner for senator, and $7-10 from Senator Sena-tor Broderlck as his share of the "Jack pot." Six legislators three members of the senate and three members of the house are scheduled to appear. They are Senators John Broderlck, Democrat, Demo-crat, Chlcaco, under Indictment for alleged bribery; Stanton C. Pember-ton, Pember-ton, Republican, Oakland, under indictment in-dictment for conspiracy to commit a felony In connection with the furniture furni-ture deal; D. W. Holtslaw. Democrat, Demo-crat, Iuka, who was Indicted, confessed confess-ed and was granted immunltv; Representatives Repre-sentatives Joseph Clark, Democrat. Yandfllla. under indictment for conspiracy con-spiracy In furniture deals: Charles I-McMackln. I-McMackln. Republican. Salem, who voted for Lorlmer and Harvey D. McCullom, Democrat, IiuUllle, who voted for Lorlmer. Examine Wltneses Today. The other witness to be examined Is A B. Jchnson of the .Toh'tjti.ne and Hatcher comonny of Springfield, who acted as local acent for the Ford and Johnson comoany in the futnlfure deal and who Senator Holtslaw and Otto Frclcr of the Drly Desk company have Implicated by the corroborative testimony. Thev allege that A. B. Johnston agreed Holtslaw should receive re-ceive $15fi0 when the furniture was installed in the state houe. The grand jury does not reconvene until Tuesday, but State's Attorney Birke will proceed tomorrow with the examination of witnesses. He received receiv-ed assurances that Senator Pember-ton Pember-ton aid Representative Clarke would b on hand tomorrow HolMaw a "Liar."
