A lurge part of the latter collection was kindly loaned by members of the l&th Infan-try Infan-try stationed at Fort Douglas, j There were also gorgeous cotton handkerchiefs printed with Illustrated Instructions relating to the proper ' handling of a Mauser rifle which were furnished to Spanish soldiers during tho war with Spain, that during a moment's hlsure, they might divest themselves of that portion of their enulpmciii ar,d proceed to study It. It was said that one of the veterans also had on exhibition specimens of hard-tack printed with first -aid instructions in-structions for dyspepsia, and bullets tagged with data pertaining to gunshot gun-shot wounds. There was also a number of Japanese Jap-anese exhibit of art work, flags, etc. which attracted much attention. Proh-nhh Proh-nhh the most valuable article on exhibition ex-hibition was a car veil Ivory head of Christ, which was taken from a desecrated des-ecrated cathedral at Caloocan by Comrade Com-rade b. A. Grand pre, proprietor of the City hotel at Wlllnrd. The head l-i carved from a large elephant tusk and l an exceptionally tine piece of work. Mr. Grandpre has been offered fl.000 for the head and it Is said that Gen.
