Show TOOELE INVADED BY PY PRESS ASSOCIATION Elect New Officers and Take Interesting Inter-esting Trips About the Place Tooele, May 31 The Utah Press association as-sociation more than fifty strong Invaded In-vaded the town yesterday. In the party were many editors of country editors, their wives, sweethearts and friends. One of the main issues of the day was the election of officers, which was held In the court house. The following officers were elected: President Arnold II. Schnltbess, editor edi-tor of the Beobachter. Salt Lake; first vice president, V. S. Peet of Independent, Inde-pendent, Salt Lake; , second vice president. pres-ident. C. R Stroney, of Tooele Times; third vice president, Samuel L. Rad-don, Rad-don, of Park City Record; correspond ln secretary, I. E. Diehl; treasurer. May Anderson, editor Children's Friend. The visitors arrived on the morning morn-ing train In a special car which had been placed at their disposal by officials of-ficials of the Salt Lake Route. They vere met at the station by members of the Commercial club. Carriages were In waiting and the scribes were taken about the town, and later took a motor car to the new international smelter, where a repast was served. After viewing the finer points of ore refining, the party returned to town. James Dunn, editor of Ihe Tooele Transcript, provided the visitors with a box of oranges. On tho trip back to Salt lake confectionery was provided provid-ed by Mr. Eiunn for the women of the party. |
