Show RAILROADS TO AID IN LABORTRODBLES Chicago, May 31. Railroad managers manag-ers and manufacturers are to investigate investi-gate the causes of the continued coal strike in Illinois, as the miners and operators have come to an agreement agree-ment In all the other states except lu the southwest. The railroad managers man-agers will meet the Illinois Coal Operators' Op-erators' association Itoday, and tho Illinois Manufacturers' association has called a special meeting of its members mem-bers for Thursday, when the coal op-orators op-orators will be asked to explain their pDsit ion. The operators say they have offered offer-ed tin- minors the same increase in war;cs as was offered lu Pennsylvania, Ohio. Indiana and Iowa, and accepted by the men in those states. The operators op-erators say they still stand ready to pay the advance demanded by tho minors in their national convention, but will not go beyond this if they have to keep thc mines closed all summer.
