It has been utilised for crazing purposos by a number of small cattlemen, cattle-men, operating under permits from the forestry service. Twice annually 10,000 head of sheep are herded past the land, kept out by the patrols of rangers. The opening of this land will ralfre a howl of protest from cattlemen, cat-tlemen, who have Ion? regarded It an their own range. None of the land Is good for nnythlng but grazing. Ar the grazing season opens about April 1, rapid action on the recommendation recom-mendation of Supervisor Reynolds has been urged, and it Is likely that such action will be taken as quickly as popslble.
