Show AUTHORITY GIVES UTAH COPPER DATA Under a Boston dateline the News Bureau has the following facts and figures of Interest to offer on ITtah Copper: "During March the l'lah Copper company produced S.ino.O"' pounds of copper, which Included for the first time the output of the Hos-ton Hos-ton Consolidated Profits for the month were approximately ,40ft,fi00 and the total profits for the quarter were JRi'ift.OOO, being based on 13 l-'J-cent copper. Total production fcr the quarter was lS.f.nn.-.ino pounds. "Py an improxo.l classification device de-vice which will require small outlay and no additional floor space, the Ptah company will he able to Increase th tonnage of ore treated at the Garfield and Copperton plants by approximately ap-proximately 40 per cent. The Car-field Car-field plant is now treating about 7"0 tons dally, although originally planned plan-ned for 5"0 tons, and the tonnage will be Increased to 1200 tons dally. "The 1'tah management h;us planned plan-ned to build Its own rallrtad line from Bingham to the smelter at Garfield, a distance of fifteen miles, as compared compar-ed with the t weuty-nlne-mlle route by which ore is now shipped over th Denver & Rio Grnndf. "Poor transportation facilities were responsible for the comparatively small productiein In January and FVb-rua.y FVb-rua.y of the current year, anil the new line will Insure the delivery of a full ore tonnage. "The above quarterly statement of earnlnBS does not take into consideration consider-ation the $35C.-I2.1 quarterly dividend received from the PSO.o'iO shares of Nevada Consolidated stock held in the "tah treasury. Adding this dividend, divi-dend, brings the rtah' earnings for the first quarter of 1 1 1 1 to sl.21U2S. "Prior to their consolidation I'tah Copper and Boston Consolidated had a total combined dally milling capacity capac-ity of 11,000 tons of ore. When contemplated con-templated plans for enlargement have been completed this will be increased to IT.Omii tons dally.
