Show WATER ON PROMONTORY IN SHALLOW WELLS Brlgham City. April 11 Horsley Bios, of this city, who are owners of a large tract of land out on the Prom-outory, Prom-outory, near Promontorv station, on 1 the old line of the Southern .'acilic .railroad, have been engaged in the ' past few- weeks in digging wells on their land. This week they were suc-cessfnl suc-cessfnl In striking water in one of th. wells at a depth of only six feeL At this point the water came gushing out In all directions, and a fairly geod stream was encountered. At the depth of six feet a fine sand was struck with the water, which is causing the owners own-ers considerable trouble, and as soon as the well Is curbed they will proceed pro-ceed to dig deeper, in the hope of striking a still larger How of water. I It Is the Intention of the Horsleys to install a gasoline engine next season for pumping the water out onto the laud. The striking of water at this depth on "dry Promontory" Is quite a surprise sur-prise to some of the older residents j of the place, and several others are contemplating rigging wells, also, which will mean much to the reclamation reclama-tion of that portion of Box Elder county. coun-ty.
