Show SEVERAL STATES WANT THE NEW FIELD GUN Washington, April 15. Several plates are anxious to obtain Uie new three-Inch field artillery guns and equipment. In answer to applications, the war department has notified N'a-I N'a-I tlonal Guard officials that it Is tho policy to provide this expensive and complicated material to batteries o the organized militia only when an adequate personnel and satisfactory armories arc provided with competent mechanicians as caretakers. In answer to other Inquiries, the department de-partment has ruled that transportation of rations, tenlaxe. bedding, field range and mess equipment for offices attending the annual camp of Instrnc- , tlon for Infantry officers may he charged charg-ed against a state's allotment, but no allowance can be inado for the transportation trans-portation of servants and unlisted cocks. |
