Show THE ELKS' SHOW. On Thursday and Friday next the Elks of Ogden will entertain the people peo-ple of this city at the Grand Opera House. Those who can should attend, not that the show will be a good one or that the Elks are nice fellows, but because the profits of tho play aro to go toward helping those deserving of the aid of others. We are Informed that last Christmas Christ-mas the local Elks assisted fifty needy persons. When the ministers have carried a burden greater than they can bear and are asked to add thereto, they make their sorrows known to tho Elks and immediately there is a response. re-sponse. We are told there i3 never a really deserving case of charity overlooked over-looked by those people. They know no creed or kind. Their charities aro as broad as humanity, and the good they do is accomplished without ostentation, os-tentation, as the left hand does not j know to whom the right han,l is ex- I tended In help. f - Anyone can afford to be entertained at the Grand when that entertaining j" means aid and comfort for the hum-; hum-; ble poor and for those who are sick ! and without friends or money. .: Our advice is, pack the Opera House I to overflowing. The offering you mako at the box office that night may be bread cast upon the waters which will return after many days; there may come to you Comfort in the thought that your money has gone to help some poor creature. |
