Show MEETING OF CREAMERY , AI1D DAIRY MEH , a communication from T. E. Woodward, Wood-ward, A. C. of U., hasy been received by this paper In wrch he says: "The creamery and dairy -men of Utah -met Monday afternoon in the office of-fice of the State Dairy and Food Commissioner, John Peterson. Tho meeting was well attended, representatives represent-atives being present from Cache val ley on the north to Piute ou tho south. Great interest was shown, especially es-pecially on the part of the producers. A state organization was effected and the following officers elected: Hon. Lorenzo Hansen of Cache valley, president; pres-ident; Mr. W. F. Jensen, of Salt Lake City, ice-pie6ident, and Prof. T. E. Woodward of the agricultural college, secretary. A legislative committee, composed of the above named officers, Messrs. Ben Eldredge, John E. Hol-ley.- G. A. Hone, L. C. Woolley and John Peterson was appointed. It was also decided to appoint a board of directors di-rectors to consist of ono dairyman from each county, in the slate. The primary object of the meeting was to organize, so no formal program pro-gram was carried out: Several enthusiastic enthu-siastic speeches were made, however, by the representatives from various parts of tho state. The meeting was harmonious throughout and all seemed to be working for the advancement of the dairy industry in Utah. The outlook out-look for some good work to bo accomplished ac-complished is very promising. |
