Show HOUSE PASSED URGENT DEFICIENCY BILL Washington, Jan. 19. Disposing of the speech of Representative Willett of New York yesterday, attacking tht Prefldent by referring it to a special committee, the house of representatives representa-tives today proceeded to take up tho various appropriation bills. Representative Butler, Pennsylvania, Pennsyl-vania, occupied the chair during the debate on the pension appropriations bill, which abolishes all but one of the eighteen pension agencies throughout the country. The olll, which carries a total appropriation of ?160, 869.000, wa6 passed practically as reported by the committee on pensions. pen-sions. The urgent deficiency bill, which carries appropriations amounting to $l,l'26,402, was passed after a roll call and several votes had been called for on an amendment offered by Representative Repre-sentative Heflin, Alabama, providing for an appropriation of $30,000 for further fur-ther distribution of seeds by the department de-partment of agriculture. Representative Foss, Illinois, chairman chair-man of the house committee on naval ail'alrs, brought up the naval appropriations appro-priations bill which probably will occupy oc-cupy the attention of the house for a day or two. Tho bill carries an appropriation ap-propriation of $135,662,488. A message from the President recommending re-commending an appropriation of $20,-000 $20,-000 for a commission to investigate conditions tn tho Republic of Liberia, Africa, was read.
