Isaac N, Pierce of C gden Is the pioneer leader of that great Industry' which has become one of the state's dominating business fac- ' H tors His name has become known throughout tho west and in many eastern states as representing the goods packed by the Utah Canning company, of which he was president for many years and from which bo J retired only a few years ago. The pioneer Pierce plant was built at Twenty-ninth atreet and Pacific avenue, the location of the present splendid Utah Canning company plant Through the troublo of early years for an infant Industry, on through the M arduous years of upbuilding. Last year he was vice preal-dent preal-dent of the Wobor club. The late William Craig, who found-ed found-ed the William Craig Canning com-puny, com-puny, was one of the Utah pioneers in Industrial affairs.
