Show Will Present Principles at Two Political Conventions This Summer CHICAGO, . May 13. Recognition for farmers will be asked of the platform plat-form makers of each of tho two great political parties at their June conventions conven-tions by representatives of farm organizations or-ganizations of tho country. This ac- l tion was decided on at tho closing session ses-sion of the national board of farm organizations' or-ganizations' meeting. According to Charles A. Lyman, na-j tional secretary of the board, it was. Ten Main Points. The main points which the farmers will Insist on wero outlined by R. D. Cooper of Little Falls, N. Y. ' They follow: "Tho right of collective bargaining by agricultural interests, as set forth in tho pending Capper-Hersman bill. "Conservation of forests, with a view lo keeping down the cost to consumers con-sumers of print paper and lumber. "Payment of the war debt through direct taxation on 'those best able to pay,' meaning corporations' and persons per-sons acquiring great wealth during tho war. "Reduction of the high cost of living liv-ing through elimination of the middleman middle-man , and provision for moro dlroct dealing with the consumer. "Appointment Of a secretary of agriculture ag-riculture who knows practical farm conditions. "Legislation prohibiting corporations corpora-tions and individuals acquiring great tracts of land, as a means of reducing , farm tenancy. "Equal rights to corporations and others in transportation facilities. "Federal control of the packing industry. in-dustry. "Arrangements for moro olastic credlt3 for farmers. "Opposition to universal military training, if such is to bo made a plank of party platforms." Temple of Agriculture.
