Show oo EPjlli Sen. Watson Buries Hatchet 'and Indiana's "Big Four" Will Support Wood. INDIANAPOLIS. May 12. Harmony in the ranks of the Republican party in Indiana was the theme of the speeches delivered at the opening sos-slon sos-slon of the Republican state convention conven-tion here today. That the party leaders In Indiana had reached an agreement and tho forces of United States Senator James E. Watson had buried the hatchet, became be-came apparent early in tho day when it was announced that E, M. Wasmuth " had been unanimously re-elected state chairman. It was also proclaimed later in tho convention, when it was announced that Indiana's "big four," the delegates dele-gates at large, would abide by the vote of the people and support General Wood, he having received a plurality in the recent presidential preference primary for the presidency. Then near the close of the session, "former Senator Albert J. Beveridge was called call-ed upon to address the delegates. The delegates met by districts tonight to-night and named 25. delegates to the national convention. Six were instructed in-structed by their districts to work for General Wood for the presidential nomination, four for Sc-naftr Johnson and tho others were unlnstructed. Wood supporters won in the second, seventh and twelfth districts; Johnson :n the tenth and eloventh and attempt vO give instructions were voted down in the first, third, fourth, fitfh, eighth, ninth and thirteenth -icts.
