Fresh advances in the price of corn took place today owing more or less to predictions that ; there would not be any big accumula- tion of corn here before September. I On the bulges, however, commission houses displayed an increased tendency tenden-cy to sell. Trade was fairly active. Opening prices, which ranged C off to lc advance with May $1.57 to 1.-58 1.-58 and July $1.45 to 1 40, were followed by moderate general gains and then by a sharp but transient setback. set-back. Oats hardened with corn. After opening unchanged to c higher with May 67 to 68 the market scored some further gain, and then underwent under-went m decided sag, which, however, failed to last Higher quotations on hogs lifted 1 ! pork and ribs to the maximum al-!
