CHURCH A great reconstruction program has been launched by the Methodist Episcopal Epis-copal church in its centenary movement move-ment and the people of Ogden will have an opportunity to hear about this movement from one of the national na-tional leaders of the campaign. The Methodist church has put on the greatest war reconstruction movement move-ment ever known in history Careful Care-ful surveys were made to show the outstanding needs, both n America and the war-torn countries aeross th seas. The centenary program eon-U eon-U mplates the complete re-organiza tion of the membership of all the churches, the elevation of the spiritual spirit-ual life of the ehurch, the enrollment of a million tithers, the enlistment j of thousands of young men and women wom-en in life service and the raising of j eighty-five million dollars in five years. The plan of Methodism Is almost bold In this conception. It Includes eer need,- field in the world and touches every phase of life in America. Amer-ica. It is, in short, a plan to make "Democracy safe for the world.' In America, the Methodists propose to do more intensive work in behalf of the Indian; the negroes, both In the north and in the south; the high-landers high-landers of the south; in Porto Rico, Hawaii and Alaska, for the Chinese and the Japanese; in the frontier, rural and mining sections, and among the foreign -speaking people.
